Clan History

In 2005 {AOW} (stands for: All Out War) was formed, Sometime after that Ice Man (RUF Clan founder) joined. After a while Ice Man was called out for possibly hacking and "spawn killing" (killing someone right after they spawn) and decided to take a leave of absence for a while. Ice man returned and continued his normal gaming habits and soon after was approached by another member he got along with by the name of Quickdeath. Quickdeath sent Ice Man a private message on the {AOW} website saying that they should leave the clan. Well one day the clan leader of {AOW} decided to go through Quickdeath's private messages on the {AOW} website and found out that he was planning on leaving an expelled everyone that agreed with him from the clan.

A little while after in 2007 Quickdeath and another expelled clan member by the name of Lt.Dan from {AOW} created [FRAG] (stands for: First Recon Assault Group). Ice Man joined up with [FRAG] not too long after their creation. Unfortunately [FRAG] was having a rough start and was getting ready to close their doors when Ice Man stepped in and made some changes to save the clan including adding on two popular servers and adding an actual website onto the clan(not a free forum). Because of this a lot of new members were recruited including a group of those from UMPA clan (more information on UMPA can be found here). Later on issues started to arise between the clan members leaders so in 2008 a good portion of the group split off.

In 2008 [RUF] (stands for: Respect, Unity, and Fun) was formed by Ice Man, Cisco (both Ice and Cisco were founding members), Hawkins, Adnoble, Vipor, Vapor, Oglithorpe, L3th4l, and a few others. We were created with these three principles: R - Respect to our fellow clan members, respect to other people in servers, U - Staying together as a clan in a family friendly environment, F - for Fun, without fun what is gaming?

Our clan originally started out in Call of Duty: Modern warfare (COD4) but has since expanded onto other games including the Battlefield series and other series such as Medal of Honor, Starcraft, and Global Agenda. To this day we continue to add onto our game list in hopes of meeting new people.

Unfortunately due to the test of time we have lost Cisco and L3th4l but we have since added on a number of clan members and hope to continue to add on more as RUF continues to expand.
